Off day: Nerf battle

Friday was an off day from baseball practice/games, so what else would be to do other than...get together with the baseball team?

This time, though, there was no batting practice or infield drills. There was, however, a little competition.

Friday's activities began with a draft to determine which player received which nerf gun. The draft board looked as follows:

Players selected their weapons in the order they were drawn out of a hat. Teams were then randomly assigned (odds and evens) and the mayhem began. I'd like to show you some in-battle photos, but, well, would you go into the middle of the room with these 12 crazy people firing nerf bullets everywhere?

Players ate lunch after the multiple-round battle and then adjourned to the pool.

Where things, of course, stayed completely calm for the remainder of the day:

Just before sending them home, we handed them a cupcake (you're welcome, parents!) to continue the sugar high for the rest of the afternoon:

See everyone bright and early at The Factory, where hopefully the outcome will be decided by a nerf accuracy contest.
